Generating reports for material and hardware ordering (WoodCAM) for a goCabinets job

1. In WoodCAM, process your job to post-processor


2. Navigate to the section in the 'Reports' Tab to select one from the 4 options:

  •    Job Hardware Listing Summary
  •    Job Hardware Listing Summary (Screen)*
  •    Job Hardware Listing Detailed
  •    Job Hardware Listing Detailed (Screen)*



*Note: The options listed above that contain (Screen) in the title will open a straight text (.txt) file onto your screen for you to view and print if required, whilst the options without (Screen) will print a report straight to your default printer when selected.


For this task, we would recommend selecting 'Job Hardware Listing Detailed (Screen)' as it will provide hardware supplier codes.




3. After selecting your report option, a pop-up window will open asking you to select a .CSV file. Select the .CSV file that matches your WoodCAM job number.



4. To obtain Costing reports for your Job such as Material and Edge band requirements, navigate to the 'Reports' tab and select from one of the 5 options:

  •    Job Costings Summary
  •    Job Costings Summary (Screen)
  •    Job Costings Detailed
  •    Job Costings Detailed (Screen)
  •    Job Costings Detailed (to CSV File)


For this example, we have selected 'Job Costings Detailed (Screen)'



5. Determining sheet quantities required. To determine what boards and their quantities need to be ordered for the job, first, optimise the job through CADCode. Run the selected through CADCode, and navigate to the 'Results' tab to obtain how many sheets, and what colours are required.
