Overview:
This guide will demonstrate how to add in Drawer Block Spacers / Inner Drawer Spacers on a cabinet with inner drawers to create the clearance required for hinges that may be in the way.
Step 1.
First open up Microsoft Access by either searching for it in your windows search bar or within WoodCAM by right clicking and selecting Data File Maintenance.
Step 2.
Go to the DrawerData table and find the drawer system you're currently using inside your cabinet.
If you're unsure of the drawer code of your current drawer system, you can find those details by following the below pictures.
Check Drawer Detail under Product Defaults > Click the D > Check Inner Drawer System (Code is GCANT)
Step 3.
Within the DrawerData table, scroll to the right until you find the BlockSpacerWidth column and change that 0 value to the size of the spacer you'd like to implement i.e 25 = 25mm.
Within the BlockSpacerHoleSpacing column, enter the spacers drill hole spacing, I've got mine set to 32 = 32mm.
Step 4.
Next you need to confirm which hinge series you're using, which you can check within WoodCAM, as shown below.
Step 5.
Back in the Access database, go to the Hinges table and find the hinge series you're using i.e (170 Deg Inserta Straight)
Go to the SpecialInstructions column and enter the information - UseBlockSpacerWidth:1
This will now reference the BlockSpacerWidth column in the DrawerData table when using the GCANT system with this hinge.

Alternative Option: Please consider using the below cabinet that uses vertical partitions to clear hinges for your inner drawers (WoodCAM only for now).
