How to set Vinyl Door Availability & Pricing

Modified on Thu, 9 Oct at 11:00 AM

1. Setting your Product Availability

Materials

To add pricing to Vinyl doors and make them available to order on your Online Portal, start in Prices > Materials.

Select any filters that apply to the product range you wish to make Visible. In this example, I'll be switching Polytec Smooth Finish 18.5mm Vinyl Doors to 'Visible' on my Online Portal.

Once your filters are applied, you can use the 'Mass Show/Hide/Delete' tool to quickly set all of these options to Visible.

When looking at the Door Filter option in Materials, we can now see the Polytec 'Styles' that are Visible on our Online Portal:

  • Polytec Vinyl (This Door Filter includes Style1, Style2, Style3)
  • Polytec Vinyl Style4

This is important for our Door & Edge availability, so take note of this.

Door Faces

Next, go to Prices > Door & Drawer Faces

Use the filters to find all Door Profiles you wish to offer. In this example, I want to turn on all Polytec Doors using the 'Polytec Vinyl' Door Filter. I will then do the same for Polytec Style4.

Edge Moulds

Now, head over to Prices > Edges.

Use the filters to find all applicable Edge Moulds. In this example, I want to turn on all Polytec Edge Moulds using the 'Polytec Vinyl' Door Filter. I will then do the same for Polytec Style4.

Use the tickboxes to select specific Edges, and then set them to Visible. Alternatively, use the 'Mass Hide/Show/Delete' tool to enable a broader range of products quickly.

2. Setting your Pricing

Head back to Prices > Materials.

Here, we can see some important information to understand our pricing better.

  • Prefix - Will determine Matrix Pricing, so take note of this.
  • Thickness - Will determine Matrix Pricing, so take note of this.
  • Suffix - Can be found in Prices > Door/Drawer Faces. This will determine Matrix Pricing
  • Area Handling Cost - Usually, you would want to apply a Handling Cost, as you will still be handling these materials, even if they are outsourced to Polytec.
  • Area Cost - This will be added on top of the Matrix Price. It is recommended to leave this at 0, unless you wish to apply variable costs based on material usage. This method is best used for internal manufacturing.

Now let's look up our prices. Head to Prices > Outsourced/Pricing Matrix > View Outsourced List

Let's look up the price for a Polytec Door - Albury Door 1200mm x 600mm Adriatic Smooth 18.5mm

By applying filters in the top right, we can narrow down what pricing will be used for this product:

  • Prefix - SMTM
  • Thickness - 18.50
  • Suffix - STYLE2

We can now see, the Matrix Price is $105.23

If you wish to raise the prices in the Matrix, you can do so by applying a Percentage Markup before the Customer Markup in Prices > Outsourced/Pricing Matrix.

For this example, as my Door Matrix markup is set to 20% for SMTM_18.50_STYLE2, and my customer markup is set to 30%, the final door price for the customer would be:

105.23 + 20% = $126.28

126.28 + 30% = $164.16
